John Watkins-Chow
John's Story
John Watkins-Chow was born in New Jersey and somehow ended up with three degrees from MIT, which he has failed to parlay into anything noteworthy.
He has been doodling his whole life and has been fortunate to work in animation, comics, and sketch card art on properties such as Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Indiana Jones, and a host of Marvel Comics characters including Spider-Man, the Avengers, & X-Men.
Recently, his marker art has appeared on sketch cards for Upper Deck's Avengers Vs X-Men, Midnight Sons, Beginnings, Flair, Secret Wars, & Avengers Skybox Metal sets. Very, very occasionally, he works on his own comic, Talismen—which increasingly looks like it will be his project in retirement.
During the day, John teaches high school math & physics in a nearby private school. When not producing sketchy art, John can reliably be found in the doghouse, a source of frustration for his stunning wife and embarrassment for his two talented daughters.
